The Birdman cometh

After a bit of a hiatus we're back on the blog trail with another quick note about a killer night coming up this Saturday (14th Aug). Part man, part machine, part cockatiel, Cage & Aviary take flights of fancy whenever they can. Jamie Paton is a DJ, a one-finger keyboardist, and a pot-tickler and also one half of this dynamic disco duo.

Having put out releases to mini acclaim on the ltd editions that are Dissident Distribution, Cage & Aviary have since spread their wings with releases on DFA, Tiny Sticks, and Astro Lab. Their own label, The Walls Have Ears, is ...slowly carving out a reputation for quality dubbed-out dance music too - the Cage & Aviary remix series has met with great critical acclaim thus far, with the likes of Andy Blake, Gatto Fritto, Horse Meat Disco, Mock N Toof, Bill Brewster, Soft Rocks, and other such luminaries counted amongst fans of the label. 2010 sees the output upped, with releases planned for every month this year.

Usual support coming from Aaron Coultate of Shameless Disco & Juno Records fame, Charlie Watson and Jamie Hayward who will no doubt keep bums wiggling until the early hours. Not to be missed kids
