DD26 - I Want U Back In My Bed (Late Nite Tuff Guy Edit)

Sorry for the lack of correspondence lately, just went on a cheeky hiatus, but we've back now! We kick things off with a track which has been kicking up quite a stir round our way. The much championed imprint Disco Deviance serve up a slice of pure solid gold this time as disco noodler and stalwart of many a Juno Chart, Late Nite Tuff Guy takes the track 'I Want U Back In My Bed' and turned it into a 10 minute low slung Disco juggernaut. You have to check this out!

It's being championed by the likes of Jacques Renault, Optimo, Greg Wilson and Horse Meat Disco to boot so you know you're in good company

Release date is still unclear but add this to your watch list! Here's a preview

Kindness Live @ 100 Club

I'm finding it hard to classify Kindness. One thing I can say is it was one of the most fascinating live sets I've seen in a long time. From genre hopping through down beat atmospheric chill out, through Funk, even taking in the Eastenders theme tune, there seems to be no boundaries.

Despite being on the circuit for  a couple of years now, it's taken a long time for an album proper to surface.

Instant classic and a track we often like to close our nights off with 'Swinging Party' sounds as fresh as ever but the highlight of the show has to be their deep, minimal cover of Roy Davis Jnr ft. Peven Everett - Gabriel, a classic house cut that will perpetually live in DJ crates around the world.  Not the sort of track that's easily done justice then but their sensitive approach takes it in new direction and one that works really well.

KINDNESS - GABRIEL

And here's Ivan Smagghe's slight tweak on Swinging Party, just an extension on the intro really

KINDNESS - SWINGING PARTY (IVAN SMAGGHE VERY LIGHT EXTENSION)

Soft Rocks - Talking Jungle (Justin Vandervolgen Remix)

It's coming to that time of year when summer dance floor bombs start appearing. Ladies and Gentlemen this one may just take some beating. It's a disco monster with some beautiful keys to boot. Try not smiling when listening to this.

Unfortunately only a snippet available for streaming but available on Vinyl at most good record stores. Not for long we reckon. Huge.

In Flagranti coming to sleaze it up in our place

Yes, we've been slack and not posted in a while, it's been a busy month!

But, we have something this Saturday night that should warm the cockles.

In Flagranti, the men behind countless disco re-edits and original productions of the highest order are coming to town. Most recent work which is causing quite a storm is this little number.

This has been hotting up floors for a good few months, and if their last performance at a Shameless Disco event is anything to go by expect this one to be road block.

Saturday night, 11pm-4am, The Waiting Room, Stoke Newington

Trevor Jackson plays at Shameless Disco this Saturday. Enough said.

We’re all in for a bit of a treat at April’s installation of Shameless Disco at The Waiting Room as Trevor Jackson is welcomed in and asked kindly if he would show us around his extensive record collection. To say Trevor Jackson was a man of many talents would be an understatement, Art director, Designer,Producer to name just a few of them. From the influential Output Recordings he created in the mid nineties who’s list of alumni includes Four Tet, LCD Soundsystem and The Rapture, as well as Trevor’s own Playgroup project, to award winning visual campaigns for Soulwax, Trevor’s fingers have been firmly in many pies for many years.

He’s also celebrating the recent release of his new compilation ‘Metal Dance’, a retrospective look at the Post Punk, EBM and Industrial dancefloor orientated sounds that have influence him over the years. Out now on Strut Records.

His sets regularly transcend anything from Disco, House & Techno and so on and so on. So with this in mind it’s with great pleasure that we welcome him down to the intimate surroundings of The Waiting Room to keep it throbbing until the early hours.

Support comes from our favourite Geordie duo and past Shameless Disco guests. Things have taken off a fair bit since the last time we welcomed The Last Waltz down. Recent production ‘Tangiers’ coming out on Endless Flight has been plumped by DJs including Deetrom among others. They’ve also just confirmed to play at Garden Festival in Croatia, the lucky buggers. Oh and theyr’e not bad DJs to boot. We expect them to show us a lesson or two in crate digging!

Email shamelessdisco@gmail.com for concessions guestlist

Please get there early to avoid disappointment! (Only 140 capacity!!)

£5 entry on the door (£4 concessions list)

Hot Chip - Flutes

We figured it's been a fair few days since our last post so thought we'd dive straight in with a 'hot damn, new track for who?!' post. Despite touring pretty much constantly for over 2 years, or what felt like 2 years, Hot Chip managed to finally knuckle down and pen some more tracks.

Ears automatically prick up round these neck of the woods when such new becomes apparent, and appetite is suitably whetted by the time a new track lands in the in-box. Now the cynic in me was hoping not to be disappointed as can so often be the case with these things. But thankfully this doesn't fall into that trap. If 'Flutes' is a sign of things to come then we're all ears.

'Flutes' is the first track from their hotly anticipated 5th Studio Album, Released June 11th.
